Ontario Backcountry Canoe Symposium
So last weekend I had the pleasure of presenting at the Ontario Backcountry Canoe Symposium.
My presentation was called “Testing The Waters – Tripping As A 19 Year Old” and was about a canoe trip to Killarney Provincial Park and how I go about doing things in the backcountry.
I met so many cool people that I have connected with over my Wild Canoes page on Facebook and it was nice to finally put faces to names.
This was also the first big public speaking event that I have participated in, and it was pretty weird being up on stage and just sitting in the audience for once. It felt really good knowing that a handful of the people in the audience were people I knew were there supporting me with something that I haven’t done before, it was a great step forward. Although I have to admit, I really liked sharing how I do things and it felt good doing so.
Oh and thanks to the guy that bought me an amazing brownie after listening to how much I love dessert/candy (you’ll see what I mean in the video).
I enjoyed all of the presentations that the other presenters put on for us all, I also recorded Andrea Wilson’s presentation and its on my youtube (click here).
Thankfully I had Michael record my presentation for me (Thanks Michael! 😊). Below you will find the video of my full presentation, have a watch!
I hope you enjoy the video!
